For the regular assessment roll where the tax due dates are December 10th and April 10th the dates for filing an appeal are between July 1 and September 15 of the fiscal year when the county notifies you of your taxable value, usually between July and the end of August. For those Counties that do not notify you of your taxable value the time to file a formal assessment appeal is between July 1 and November 25 of each year. For supplemental assessments or escape assessments the time is within a 60 day period after the county has notified you of a supplemental or escape assessment. Most counties do not have the funds in their budget to notify every property owner of their current taxable value and fall within the November 25 deadline, however some counties do.
